Celebrating 50 Years of Academic Excellence – Golden Jubilee

Gunjahalli Hire Nagappa College of Commercestands as one of the esteemed institutions under the S.K.V.V. Sangha Group of Institutions, which has been dedicated to promoting quality education and social development for several decades. As the Sangha celebrates its Diamond Jubilee, GHN College of Commerce proudly marks an important milestone in its journey by completing 50 glorious years of service in the field of higher education.

The college was established in the year 1974 through the generous contribution of the Gunjahalli Family, in memory of Late Shri Gunjahalli Hire Nagappa, a well-known philanthropist of Gangavathi town. With a vision to provide quality higher education to the youth of the region, the institution was founded with strong values of service, knowledge, and social responsibility.

Sri Gunjahalli Basanna, the donor of the college, played a crucial and instrumental role in the establishment and early development of the institution. His commitment to education laid a strong foundation for the growth of the college.

The institution functions under the esteemed leadership of H.H. Sri Ma. Ni. Pra. Dr. Kotturu Mahaswamiji, Kalamath, the President of S.K.V.V. Sangha, and the guidance of Shri Sharanegouda Malipatil, Secretary of the Sangha. Late Shri Gunjahalli Nagappa served as the Founder Chairman of the college and contributed immensely to its establishment and progress. Late Shri Gunjahalli Rajashekharappa served as the Director of S.K.V.V. Sangha to support the institution in its academic and developmental initiatives.

Over the past five decades, GHN College of Commerce has grown steadily and has earned a reputation for academic excellence, discipline, and holistic development of students. The college has produced many successful graduates who are contributing to society in various professional fields such as commerce, business, government service, education, and entrepreneurship.

The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes such as B.Com, B.A, and M.Com, which are affiliated to Koppal University, Koppal. These programmes are designed to provide students with strong academic foundations, professional skills, and opportunities for higher education and career advancement.
